I love learning and the learning process
My wish is to serve others in a way that is impactful, kind, and dependable. In any job I've ever had, I didn't want others to feel as if I wasn't doing my part or that I didn't do enough. It's important to me to contribute in a positive way.
I've had many different jobs, from working on a horse farm, to a casino, to being a chef, and many customer service roles. My non-work experiences include some intermediate level construction, playing on a roller derby team for 5 years and studying abroad in Mexico. Because of this I consider myself a Jack of all trades, Master of none - I can be trained to do just about anything.
Since I began a career in education, I have become very particular in how I am trained and how I believe training in any job should take place. When my realization that my education career should shift from secondary school into a corporate setting, my research lead me to instructional design. Things that excite me about being an instructional designer are the process of analyzing the situation, determining the types of training that may be needed, and also creating a learning experience that produces improved results in the behaviors of employees for the betterment of the company but also that helps the employee feel confident while doing their job.
I wish to be the kind of person that is known for making things easier for others, for making them feel at ease, take away any stress related to any activity that I am involved with - maybe not always with words but through actions.

My Interests
I enjoy creative activities such as crochet, sewing, quilt making, and cooking. Staying active is also important so I try to get outside every day.
My real passion is traveling and experiencing new places, food, and cultures. While my husband and I prefer to travel outside of Arkansas and the U.S., the last few years has had us just visiting state parks and small towns, out of the way places, hold-in-the-wall restaurants. One goal we have is to attend at least one of every major league sporting event that is possible.
I've been fortunate to be able to visit the following places outside of the US: Puerto Rico, The Soviet Union, Finland, Mexico, Canada, and Scotland.
